This page is for the current CHARM Trader products: CHARM PC and CHARM Android. Start with Paper practice, learn the controls, then decide if you want Live trading or optional CHARMie.
1. Pick your product.
CHARM PC
Use this on a Windows computer when you want a larger screen and desktop workflow.
CHARM Android
Use this on an Android phone when you want mobile access, key fetch, paper practice, and optional CHARMie controls.
2. Start with Paper.
Paper trading is practice. It does not use real money.
Paper can be set to $1,000,000 in Alpaca for free practice.
Practice buy, sell, close, open orders, history, and refresh before using Live.
3. Load keys the easy way.
Make Paper keys and Live keys in Alpaca.
Use the Android manual for the exact order.
Email the key file to yourself, download it on the phone, then tap FETCH KEYS.
4. Try CHARMie only if you want to.
Buy, sell, close, and order tools are not dependent on CHARMie.
Buy a stock, put CHARMie in charge of the CHARM trail, and leave the screen. CHARMie keeps watching while you work, sleep, eat, travel, or go on vacation.
CHARMie is designed to enhance upside wins by helping you stay with a winning move longer than you normally would, instead of selling too early or missing the exit.
That keeps the app usable even if you are not using CHARMie.
